Prestige Wood Products Warranty
Prestige Wood Products are protected by a (5) year, limited warranty from the day of manufacture when placed under normal conditions and are subjected to the terms, conditions, and limitations of this warranty. This warranty covers any defects in the coatings of the product. Items determined to be flawed by a Prestige Wood Products representative will be replaced at no charge.
Warranty Limitations and Disclaimers
The following are not covered by this warranty:
- Any naturally occurring defects (knots, shakes, and checks) or variations in the grain and color of the wood. Since our products are made from 100% real wood, differences in color and grain are to be expected and are not considered a defect.
- Changes to color due to aging or weathering (direct sunlight or rain). Denser sections from the inner part of the trunk, called the heartwood, are present in some woods. Over time, the heartwood will darken when exposed to light and cannot be prevented or avoided.
- Mineral streaks or spots. Trees absorb minerals to various degrees in differing sections of the trunk and may be present on the product. This is not a cause for replacement.
- Knot bleeding. Although Prestige Wood Products selects premium wood and coating products, knot bleeding will occur over time and is not considered a defect. Whitewashed colors are recommended for conditioned interior spaces only.
- Expansion or contraction of wood products due to change in temperature or humidity.
- Any defects due to misuse, carelessness, accident, or improper repairs.
- Any damage caused by water.
- Labor or cost of labor for removal, installation, or reinstallation.
This warranty is extended solely to the Prestige Wood Products coatings and is non-transferable. Upon discovery of a defect, a claim must be filed within (30) days after discovery. Any product coating that is observed to be unsatisfactory prior to installation, must not be installed and a claim must be submitted for replacement. Prestige Wood Products will not be responsible if the defective product is installed.
